To pay homage to their iconic Ford GT entered in the race, Ford has announced a special "Heritage Edition" of their modern GT. The most notable throwback to the legendary car is the blue and orange paint scheme - a color combo that has become one of the most recognizable in motor sports since Ford's 1968 victory.

One-of-a-Kind Ford Mustang Auctioned For Charity Delivered at Woodward Dream Cruise

Borgman Ford in Grand Rapids, MI is always excited to see the custom Mustangs that are created for charity benefits. This year's model in particular did not disappoint. The 700 horsepower monster pictured above was named the Eagle Squadron Mustang GT, and was sold for $420,000 at auction to benefit youth aviation education programs.

Better yet, the car was delivered to its new owner at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit last weekend by none other than famed drift racer Vaighn Gittin Jr.
